Leith Export Company is part of the Muckle Brig stable of brands - home to the hugely successful Lind & Lime Gin. In recent months the business has added the incredible new vertical whisky distillery in Leith to their portfolio, with plans to expand the range further as their spirits mature. 

Having secured funding to make an investment in their digital channels, Muckle Brig approached us to breathe new life into the Leith Export Company Shopify site. While functioning well, the store was based on an outdated Shopify template. There were issues with mobile UX, and poor categorisation further hampered navigation and SEO performance. 

While Leith Export Company is a brand in its own right, the store needs to act as the retail home for established brands like Lind & Lime. It was important to provide a consistent brand experience throughout, with increased flexibility to allow the team to bring their brands and content to life.

The aim of the game here was resource efficiency and maximising impact for a limited budget. Keeping the business on Shopify, we updated the theme and designed a fresh new look and feel. We paid close attention to the individual brands and how they could live seamlessly within the Leith Export Company platform. We also resolved the UX issues across all screen types, while implementing a fully-researched and SEO-friendly site structure and navigation.
